The StrainMaster field journal

Building the library.
A gram at a time.

One strain. One close look. Another page in the story. We're building a collection of real flower photography and firsthand observations to sit alongside the research.

Each episode follows a single sample: where it came from, what it looks like, and what makes it worth remembering.

The series starts with our first documented sample.
01

Meet the flower.

Strain name, producer and batch. The details that distinguish this sample from the next.

02

Look a little closer.

Real macro photos. Color, structure and aroma, described in our own words.

03

Add it to the collection.

A numbered journal entry linked to its strain profile. A library that gets richer with every story.

Our approach

Curiosity.
With receipts.

This starting collection brings together 188 recognizable cannabis strains from published strain references and popularity roundups. It is an editorial selection, not a verified global top-188 sales ranking. Each profile links to its reference.

Indica, sativa and hybrid are common market labels, not promises about how a sample will affect you. Names, lineage accounts and aromas can vary between producers. A strain name does not establish a batch's potency or chemistry; use its actual test results for those details.

Photographs are credited to their creators. Where we don't yet have a licensed, identified strain photo, we show an index card instead of pretending a different flower is the same strain. Firsthand reviews will be clearly distinguished from researched profiles.
